If you have a skewed view of Baz Luhrmann based on Moulin Rouge please forget it.
IT is over the top in only the ways in which the book is. The parties and the glamour etc
but it really captures the feeling of the book.
The soundtrack works. Yeah it is strange hearing Jay Z over some parts but it works.
I loved it. I had all the same emotions again that I did when I read the book.
I don’t think people who haven’t read the book would enjoy it as much.
Read it! it’s a sort book!
